Does the iPhone 3G have insurance?
Brian asked:
Hey guys, i’m buying the new iPhone 3G that’s coming out tommorrow, and i just can’t WAIT!!! However i’ve heard rumors that iPhone might not have insurance. But i want to ask you guys first, just to be sure. Does the iPhone 3G have any kind of insurance at all that i can get on it? Something that can cover my iPhone. Like from physical damages, viruses, lost, or stolen and KNOW that i’m covered.

i think it doesn’t have insurance buy u can buy a insurance for the iphone.
I know for a fact that you can purchase Apple Care…it covers anything that goes wrong mechanically with the device - it will also cover any parts or service at the apple stores (like new battery if it dies out on you). The apple care usually only covers the product for two years. Plus you already have a year warranty from apple from the date you purchase the product. You will have to check with ATT to see about the typical monthly insurance plans for cell phones…
You cannot get insurance for your iPhone. However, you can get Apple Care - which as other posters pointed out - will cover any defects or damage (well, most of it, i’m sure) to your device.
What’s the difference between the two? Think of Apple Care as more of a warranty. Basically, if you lose the iPhone, Apple Care will not replace it. But if it ends up broken from normal wear and tear, Apple Care will take care of it.
